May

May is here but it sure didn't feel like it as the cool winter weather chose to show it's bitter face.

It's going to be a busy month as most tend to be, perhaps this month more so as we juggle things around the house, planning for our vacation, May long weekend and spring ringette.

A great start to the month it was though as Jason and I got my coffee table refinished, the railing on the deck, 5 trees planted and while the cool days hung over us we took advantage of getting carpet cleaning and painting done inside.

~MOTHER'S DAY~ I was spoiled for Mother's Day. Robyn made me breakfast in bed Saturday which consisted of peanut butter toast, strawberries, coffee and chocolate chip cookies followed by cake and more coffee. Kayla made me a clay jewelery holder for my nightstand along with paper flowers and sang me a wonderful Mother's Day song. Sunday I was surprised with a lovely card and diamond earrings from my adoring husband, and then we headed over to Grandma & Papa Lennard's for brunch, shared with Erin, Devon and Lily. The brunch was a feast in itself, crepes, quiche, sausages, hashbrowns, fruit, pastries...and the list goes on. Mmm we brought home some of the remaining food for later. Dinner was spent with Nana & Papa Becker and Great Grandma Miller. It was a fantastic day of good eats and great company, and as a bonus the sun poked through the clouds.

~MAY LONG~ So May long came and went, fast as always. May was already flying by but the long weekend should have been renamed "overnight weekend". It went far to quick for my liking. Yet again Jason and I went to Invermere with our wonderful group of close friends (11 to be exact). It's always nice to get away to BC, and there in the cabin we're only steps (I think it's about 40 *laughs*) to the lake. We had great times, many laughs, as per the norm excellent food, wonderful weather (thankfully) & stunning BC views. Jason managed to fit in a round of golf with the guys while us girls hung back at the cabin to visit.... It was really nice. Unlike last year this year we had HOT WATER!! YAY for a working hot water tank. Unfortunantly the hot tub wasn't working but we weren't about to complain. There was so much to do between the games we played, and visiting that we weren't crushed. However the guys did make attempts at trying to get the hot tub to work...but bocce ball and beers won over.

The girls went up to Rocky Mountain House with Grandma & Papa Lennard, Auntie Erin & Uncle Devon along with little Lily. They had colder weather than we did and more rain but it still sounded like a good weekend. Jason and I look forward to weekends in Rocky Mountain house soon...

But first...the clock is ticking, the days are passing quickly and the count down is on until the day we leave to Florida...basically one week!! We're all estatic! So much to do...so little time!!
